During the early stages of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) elections, sporadic glitches in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were reported, causing temporary disruptions. Election officials, however, ensured that replacement machines were quickly installed to minimize delays.
Rohit Pawar, a leader from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), highlighted incidents of EVMs malfunctioning in his social media post, mentioning a time lag in some machines and voicing concerns about potential irregularities.
Despite these issues, voter turnout reached 23% by midday, and poll officials maintained that the voting process continued smoothly after initial hiccups.
