The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections saw 41.08% of voters casting their ballots within the first eight hours, according to official reports.
A BMC spokesperson detailed that the average voter turnout reached 41.08% by 3:30 PM, reflecting active civic engagement.
Amid tight security, polling commenced at 7:30 AM across 227 wards and will continue until 5:30 PM. Notably, Bhandup's ward 114 reported the highest turnout at 53.34%, contrasting with Colaba's ward 227, which saw the lowest at just 15.73%.
