A Delhi court has delivered a significant verdict convicting Aasiya Andrabi and her associates, Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen, on charges that include conspiracy against the state and participation in a terrorist organization. The ruling accuses them of plotting to facilitate the secession of Kashmir from India.

The court's voluminous 286-page order underscores the evidence presented by the National Investigating Agency, including videos illustrating Andrabi's claim of Kashmir's forced occupation by India and assertion as part of Pakistan. Andrabi's group, Dukhtaran-E-Millat, allegedly engaged in activities to separate Kashmir from India, masked under self-determination arguments.

This legal development highlights the diametrical stance taken by Andrabi and her associates against India's constitutional integrity. The charges framed under stringent sections of UAPA and IPC set the stage for the upcoming sentencing arguments, slated for January 17.
