A Delhi court took decisive action by extending the judicial custody of five individuals, including three doctors and a religious preacher, until February 13. The extension is part of the ongoing investigation into the Red Fort blast case.
Special Judge Prashant Sharma granted the National Investigating Agency's (NIA) request for judicial custody of Dr. Adeel Rather, Dr. Shaheen Saeed, Dr. Muzammil Ganaie, Maulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay, and Jasir Bilal Wani. These individuals are part of a larger group of nine suspects apprehended so far in the case.
The NIA, which arrested Jasir Bilal Wani last year, accused him of providing technical assistance for terror attacks, including modifying drones for hostile purposes. The agency alleges further connections, including the involvement of Yasir Ahmed Dar and Naseer Bilal Malla, who are accused of supporting the suicide bomber behind the deadly attack near the Red Fort.
