Daring Getaway: Kabaddi Murder Suspect Dies in Police Shootout
Karan Pathak, associated with the murder of Kabaddi promoter Kanwar Digvijay Singh, was killed in a shootout with Punjab Police after escaping custody. Arrested with his accomplices, Pathak fled during a hospital trip due to chest pain. During the manhunt, he fired at police in Mohali before being fatally injured.

Karan Pathak, implicated in the murder of Kabaddi promoter Kanwar Digvijay Singh alias Rana Balachauria, met his end in a police shootout in Mohali. After evading police custody, a manhunt ensued across the district.
Originally detained by Punjab Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force, Pathak escaped during a hospital trip following a vehicle accident. Authorities set up checkpoints, securing assistance from Chandigarh, Rupnagar, and Fatehgarh Sahib police forces.
When located, Pathak allegedly fired multiple rounds at the pursuing officers. In the exchange, police responded with gunfire, resulting in Pathak being critically injured. Efforts to provide medical care proved futile as he later succumbed to his injuries.
