An 18-year-old domestic help was arrested by the Delhi Police for purportedly orchestrating a sophisticated burglary in West Delhi's Punjabi Bagh area, a senior officer confirmed on Monday.
Cash totaling Rs 2.66 lakh was seized from her, following a detailed investigation that began on January 15 after a PCR call reported the crime.
The accused, identified as Laxmi from Mangolpuri, confessed to the crime, exploiting her access as a house help. Despite no prior criminal record, further investigations are underway to recover the remaining stolen money and ascertain if she's committed similar offenses.
