In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police claimed to have busted an extortion module linked to the notorious Sonu Dariyapur gang in the Outer North region. The operation, which culminated on the night of January 16, led to the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of illegal firearms.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team successfully intercepted suspects moving suspiciously near Khera Khurd Road. The suspects, when searched, were found in possession of illegal weapons. Deputy Commissioner of Police Hareshwar Swami confirmed that this operation was part of a larger strategy to dismantle criminal networks in the area.

Among those arrested was Sushil Bist, a known offender involved in numerous criminal cases. The police also identified the other arrested individuals as Rajat alias Gabbru, Anurag alias Hunny, and Aryan. The group was allegedly running an extortion racket targeting local businessmen, with further investigations currently underway.
