A tragic discovery was made near the Kanpur–Jhansi National Highway-27 when villagers found a severely burnt body of an unidentified woman in a field, police confirmed on Wednesday.
Witnesses reported seeing smoke rising near a temple around 3 PM. The police suspected electrocution as a potential cause due to a nearby high-tension electricity line. The area has been secured for further investigation.
