Foiled Escape: Arrests Follow Police Shootout with Armed Duo at Checkpoint
Two men involved in firing incidents in Chandigarh and Jalandhar, along with an accomplice, were arrested after a police encounter. The duo, identified as Rahul and Ricky, were shot by police after a car chase and shootout. A third accomplice, Preet, was also apprehended.

Two men, linked to shooting incidents at a pharmacy and a vehicle in Jalandhar, were arrested following an encounter with police, an official said on Wednesday.
Acting on intelligence, police at a Sector 39 checkpoint attempted to stop a vehicle. The occupants, however, opened fire, prompting a retaliatory response from law enforcement, during which both suspects were injured.
Named as Rahul and Ricky, the suspects sustained leg injuries and were taken to a government hospital. Another accomplice, Preet, was arrested. Police recovered two country-made pistols during the operation.
