The Delhi Police recently organized a significant meeting with Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and Market Welfare Associations (MWAs) to promote community policing and enhance public awareness about cyber safety, according to an official statement on Wednesday.

In attendance were around 300 representatives from RWAs, MWAs, and other community stakeholders. Focused discussions were held to augment the police-public partnership, especially concerning cyber safety, amid an uptick in online fraud and digital crime cases. Participants viewed cyber awareness videos and engaged with information sessions to learn about common cyber threats and preventive strategies.

Nine police personnel from the southeast region received Out of Turn Promotions (OTPs) in recognition of their outstanding service and contributions to district policing. Joint Commissioner of Police (Southern Range), S K Jain, addressed the gathering, underscoring the collective responsibility for public safety and the importance of vigilance.
