A head constable from the Uttar Pradesh Police and a passerby sustained injuries in a violent encounter with motorcycle-borne assailants at a Delhi bus stop, authorities reported on Thursday.
The altercation took place on Wednesday at a bus stop on Wazirabad Road, when three men driving recklessly began an argument with people waiting there. Head Constable Kuldeep attempted to diffuse the situation but was attacked when the men returned minutes later.
The assailants injured a passerby, Sachin Pandey, who tried to help Kuldeep. The attackers fled the scene, and police have initiated an investigation. They are reviewing CCTV footage and gathering information to apprehend the culprits.
