A 21-year-old youth was taken into custody Tuesday after a video surfaced online showing him discharging a firearm multiple times in a field, according to police statements.
The individual, identified as Lucky, was recorded in a 29-second clip wearing a red shirt and firing rounds into the air with background music playing. After the shots, he struck a confident pose by lifting his collar.
Upon reviewing the widely circulated video, senior law enforcement officials urgently initiated action, leading to his arrest in the Nanauta police station jurisdiction. The firearm was confiscated, and proceedings under the Arms Act have commenced, stated police in-charge Naveen Kumar Saini. He emphasized the act's seriousness, noting its negative societal impact.
