The Delhi High Court is currently reviewing a petition by Congress MP Karti Chidambaram, contesting allegations of corruption and conspiracy linked to a purported Chinese visa scam. The petition argues there's insufficient evidence against Chidambaram.

Despite seeking a halt to trial proceedings, Justice Manoj Jain declined such a request but mandated the CBI to submit a short reply by February 12. The court stressed the importance of not disrupting the trial process.

The CBI's charges are rooted in a two-year investigation connected to an alleged Rs 50 lakh bribe involving various enterprises. The core of the accusation lacks direct evidence implicating Chidambaram, according to his counsel.
