Royal Scandal: Crown Princess's Son Faces Legal Battle

In a fresh development, Norwegian police have detained Marius Borg Hoiby, the eldest son of Norway's crown princess, on additional criminal allegations. This comes as he awaits a separate trial on charges of rape and other crimes.

Police arrested the 29-year-old on accusations of causing bodily harm, wielding a knife, and violating a restraining order. A judge's approval is being sought to keep Hoiby in custody for four more weeks while awaiting trial.

Hoiby faces 38 counts, including domestic violence and assault, which have plagued the Norwegian monarchy. While he denies the severe charges, he's admitted to minor offenses. His trial will proceed until March 19.
