The body of Namita Devi, a woman reported missing from Bokaro Steel City, was recovered by Jharkhand Police on Monday. Found near the Chandankiyari Community Health Centre, her death is under investigation.
Preliminary findings suggest evidence of sexual assault leading to murder, according to Bokaro SP Harvinder Singh. Identification was confirmed by her son using distinct features such as teeth and bangles.
Currently, the police are awaiting forensic results to ascertain details. A suspect from the Chandankiyari area has been detained for interrogation as investigations continue.
