In a significant drug bust, Delhi police have arrested two individuals in connection with the attempted delivery of heroin valued at Rs 5 crore in the city's Gulabi Bagh area. The suspects, identified as Ambe alias Sonia, 34, and Chandan Gupta, 55, were intercepted during a police operation based on a confidential tip-off.

Sonia, who has been involved in the narcotics trade for several years, was caught with 1.058 kg of high-grade heroin. Her partner, Chandan, an auto-rickshaw driver with a criminal past, acted as a transporter in their illicit activities.

Authorities stated that the duo acquired the heroin from a supplier, Rahul, and intended to deliver it to the Trans-Yamuna region. Efforts are ongoing to locate the absconding supplier and disrupt the drug network further.
