Tragic Plunge: Soldier's Fatal Car Accident on Jammu–Srinagar Highway
An army personnel, Sohan Singh, was killed after his car skidded off a mountain road in Ramban district and fell 200 feet on the Jammu–Srinagar Highway. He was traveling to attend a wedding when the accident occurred. The body was taken to Ramban district hospital for medico-legal formalities.

An army personnel has died in a tragic accident on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district. The incident occurred when the soldier, identified as 35-year-old Sohan Singh from Madda, Udhampur, lost control of his vehicle while navigating a curve.
According to officials, the car skidded off the mountain road and plunged nearly 200 feet before landing on the highway. The soldier was traveling to Swami village to attend a wedding ceremony at the time of the accident.
The officer in charge, Inspector Jatinder Singh Rakwal from the Chanderkote police station, confirmed that Sohan Singh died on the spot. His body was recovered from the wreckage and sent to the Ramban district hospital for further legal procedures.
