Shocking Abuse: Family Members Arrested for Assaulting Young Girl

The incidents, which come under the scrutiny of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, are said to have taken place in Punnapra. The assaults reportedly began when the victim was just eight years old, with her maternal uncle initially implicated. The uncle was apprehended but later died by suicide after being released on bail.

After spending time in a child welfare home, the young girl's father reclaimed her custody in 2022, leaving her in the care of another relative. It was during this period that the ongoing assaults continued until the girl confided in a friend, whose family reported the matter to the police, thereby exposing this tragic story.
