In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, police in Thane district of Maharashtra have seized narcotic substances valued at approximately Rs 2.15 crore. The arrests were made following a police patrol in the Dombivali area, where officers intercepted the trio attempting to flee. A subsequent search revealed a stash of cocaine and mephedrone, according to official reports.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Atul Zende stated that this arrest is part of a larger campaign against drug trafficking in the Kalyan region. In 2025 alone, police registered 101 drug-related cases and apprehended 146 suspects, seizing a variety of banned substances worth over Rs 6.36 crore.
