In a coordinated effort, special task forces from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand arrested two individuals suspected of operating a complex cheating network during the SSC Multi-Tasking Staff exams. The arrests were made in Dehradun following a raid based on confidential intelligence, officials revealed on Saturday.

Brijesh Kumar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police for the Meerut unit of the UP STF, identified the accused as Nitish Kumar from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, and Bhaskar Naithani from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The duo allegedly facilitated exam cheating via computer hacking at the Mahadev Digital Zone examination center.

A high-tech setup was reportedly used, involving remote access and proxy server configurations. Numerous devices, including laptops and mobile phones, were confiscated. The operation led to the discovery of a secret chamber in the exam center server room. A case under various legal provisions, including the new Uttarakhand Competitive Examination Act, has been initiated against the accused.
