In a major bureaucratic shake-up, the Delhi government has announced the transfer and assignment of new roles to 72 senior officers, including those in the IAS (AGMUT) cadre.
According to an order from the Services department, 36 IAS officers were given new responsibilities, reflecting a strategic realignment of roles. Among those affected, Santosh D. Vaidya, a 1998 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new principal secretary (home) with additional charges in finance, planning, and industries.
This reshuffle aims to enhance operational efficiency across departments. The assignments cover a wide range of key positions, including education, health, social welfare, and urban development. These strategic shifts are expected to improve governance and service delivery throughout the city.
