An elderly resident of Doopanahalli has died following a violent incident involving his son, police revealed on Tuesday. The 70-year-old man suffered grave injuries from an alleged attack by his son, identified as Mohana Kumar, on Saturday night.

The tragic incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Indiranagar police station. According to initial reports, Kumar attacked his father, Munikrishnappa, with a sharp-edged weapon before fleeing the crime scene. Efforts to save Munikrishnappa were in vain as he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
