Quick Action: IED Neutralized Safely on Major Highway

Security forces successfully neutralized an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) placed by terrorists on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway in Jammu and Kashmir. A briefcase containing the explosive was spotted, leading to a temporary halt of traffic. A bomb disposal squad safely destroyed the IED without any harm.

On Wednesday, response by security forces resulted in the successful neutralization of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway in Jammu and Kashmir, officials confirmed.

The incident commenced when a briefcase was noticed by the roadside at Narbal around 7 am, prompting an immediate precautionary response from security personnel.

Upon identifying the suspicious object, the highway area was cordoned off, and traffic was temporarily halted. A bomb disposal squad was quickly dispatched, successfully dismantling the IED without incident.
