Major Drug Traffickers Arrested in Jharkhand Operation

In a significant breakthrough, police in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district apprehended 14 individuals suspected of drug trafficking, officials reported on Wednesday. The operation followed a tip-off resulting in coordinated raids across Ichak, Lohsinghna, and Barkagaon police areas.
During the operation, law enforcement seized 129.72 grams of brown sugar, valued at Rs 18 lakh. Additionally, authorities confiscated 12 vehicles, including two SUVs, suggesting the suspects' extensive network. Among those arrested were Bablu Kumar, Irfan Ansari, Ahsan Khan, and Rahul Kumar Mehta.
Additional SP Amit Kumar indicated that these arrests mark only the initial phase of the operation, with further raids planned to dismantle the drug trafficking ring completely.
