India-Hungary Dialogue: Strengthening Ties in AI and Education

A parliamentary delegation from Hungary, led by Deputy Speaker Lajos Oláh, met Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh in Parliament on Wednesday. Discussions centered on democratic governance and digital transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
Harivansh highlighted India's commitment to integrating technology for public good, mentioning the ongoing AI Impact Summit in Delhi, focusing on 'Democratising AI, Bridging the AI Divide'. India has implemented significant digital infrastructure projects such as Aadhaar, UPI, and DigiLocker to enhance service delivery.
The deputy chairman emphasized mutual benefits from sharing AI expertise and acknowledged Hungary's cooperation in education and professional training under the ITEC programme. Hungary's support in the evacuation of Indians from Ukraine during Operation Ganga was also recognized.
