In Jharkhand's Gumla district, police have arrested four individuals in connection with the abduction and rape of two young girls. The disturbing incident occurred on Wednesday when the victims, accompanied by two friends, were on their way back from a wedding ceremony.
The suspects, from Jharkhand's Simdega district, intercepted the group on a two-wheeler and forcibly relocated three of the four friends to a car. The tragic event unfolded near Arhara village, with two of the minors subjected to a horrific assault by the Balagaht Koyal riverside.
Kamdara Police Station's Mukesh Kumar revealed that the suspects have since been detained and are facing judicial custody on charges under the BNS and POCSO Act.
