Notorious gangster Amritpal Singh, also known as Amrit Dalam, has been apprehended at the Moldova border following an Interpol Red Notice initiated by the Punjab Police, working in tandem with central agencies. Singh's detention is a pivotal moment in the international effort to bring fugitives to justice.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav confirmed Singh's capture on Saturday, emphasizing the coordinated pursuit necessitated by Singh's involvement in several serious criminal cases. Singh had been hiding overseas for a considerable duration.
Legal and diplomatic efforts are now active to facilitate Singh's return to India. This action is part of Punjab Police's larger initiative, which includes the tracking of 61 fugitive gangsters worldwide.
