In a major breakthrough, Ramesh Kumar, who was wanted for the murder of his 10-year-old daughter in Jammu in 2016, has been captured in southeast Delhi. Accused of killing his daughter over suspicions about her paternity, Kumar was living under the alias 'Rajveer' in Delhi's Sanjay Colony.

According to police, the crime was committed when Kumar allegedly struck his daughter on the head, fatally injuring her. The case remained unsolved for years as Kumar evaded capture by fleeing to Delhi. His arrest comes after a coordinated effort between Delhi Police and Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The accused was last seen working as a construction laborer in Jammu before the crime. His detention marks a significant development in the long-pending case, shedding light on a chilling incident rooted in familial distrust and tragic consequences.
