In a shocking turn of events, Ashutosh Brahmachari was attacked with a razor by an unidentified individual while traveling by train on Sunday morning. The police have confirmed the incident, which involved the complainant in an ongoing sexual abuse case against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati.
Ashutosh was on the Rewa Express heading to Prayagraj when the assault took place in the train's toilet near Sirathu station. He sustained minor injuries and was immediately taken to Calvin Hospital in Prayagraj. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the perpetrator, and further legal actions are expected following the medical evaluation.
This comes in the wake of serious allegations lodged against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciple Mukundanand Brahmachari, under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The grievances were made by Ashutosh Brahmachari Maharaj and others, accusing the religious leaders of sexually exploiting students, including a minor, over a year.
