Monu Manesar, the man accused in the high-profile 2023 Junaid and Nasir murder case, received a hero's welcome upon his return to his native village in Gurugram after being released on bail from a Rajasthan jail. Supporters greeted him with drum beats and garlands, showing strong local backing.

After spending two-and-a-half years in judicial custody at Central Jail Bharatpur, Manesar stepped out wearing a bulletproof vest. His release was granted by the Rajasthan High Court on March 5, facilitated by strict legal formalities and heavy security measures. Villagers traveled in droves to witness his homecoming.

Known by the alias Mohit Yadav, Manesar was accused alongside others in the murder of cousins Junaid and Nasir on suspicion of cow smuggling. The case gained significant attention, involving incidents of communal violence and multiple arrests. Celebrations continued late into the night in Manesar, highlighting the deep-seated community support he maintains.
