In a heated confrontation, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have clashed over a Delhi High Court order related to the excise policy case. Both parties interpreted the decision in their favor, further intensifying the political discourse.
The BJP, triumphant in the court's directions, claimed it signified the end of a brief celebration by AAP. Contrarily, AAP announced that the court merely halted administrative actions against CBI officials and did not alter the discharge of its leaders.
The Delhi High Court requested responses from former chief ministers and others on a CBI petition challenging their discharge in a lower court. The BJP lauded the development, asserting past instances where similar temporary victories for accused officials resulted in severe consequences. Meanwhile, AAP criticized the CBI for alleged misconduct encouraged by higher authorities.
