Transparency Ensured: West Bengal Poll Preparations

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar reassured that no eligible voter's name would be omitted from the electoral rolls in West Bengal. He emphasized the aim of maintaining free and fair elections, with 100% webcasting implemented to guarantee transparency across the state’s 80,000 polling stations.

In a recent press conference in Kolkata, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar affirmed that no eligible voter's name would be excluded from the electoral rolls in West Bengal. Addressing media after consultations with political players and officials, Kumar stressed the Election Commission's commitment to ensure free, fair, and peaceful elections in the state.

Kumar, highlighting the democratic spirit of West Bengal's populace, reaffirmed the commission's priority of facilitating participatory democracy. He further ensured that every eligible voter would have the chance to exercise their democratic rights during the upcoming polls.

Underlining the extensive preparations, Kumar shared that West Bengal hosts nearly 80,000 polling stations, with 61,000 situated in rural locales. To bolster transparency and voter confidence, the Election Commission will implement 100% webcasting across all polling booths.
