Vibrant Gujarat Spurs Major Economic Investment and Job Growth

During the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, the Gujarat government secured MoUs worth Rs 3,53,306 crore, promising 2.82 lakh jobs. Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi emphasized reaching underserved businesses, engaging globally, and focusing on job-creating industries, especially in tribal areas, with special attention to the garment sector.

The Gujarat government made significant strides in economic growth during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, securing 2,792 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 3,53,306 crore. State Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi disclosed this achievement, highlighting that these projects are expected to generate 2.82 lakh direct job opportunities over the next three years.

By taking the Vibrant Gujarat initiative beyond the state capital to regions like South Gujarat, the government aims to provide small businessmen with direct access to global prospects. Harsh Sanghavi articulated this intent, noting interactions with representatives from 20 countries including the US, Canada, Singapore, and Japan during the conference.

A particular focus was placed on sustainable job creation, especially in tribal areas. Initiatives are underway to employ 25,000 women in the garment sector, with transportation facilities for safe commutes. Such efforts underscore the state's commitment to fostering an inclusive business environment and translating investments into tangible growth.
