On Tuesday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the state government's rigorous efforts to combat cybercrime, boasting a notable decrease in incidents by 2025. He emphasized the role of technology-driven strategies in reducing cyber fraud by 17% and arrested cases by 57% compared to the previous year.

In response to Congress MLA Aftab Ahmed's query during the budget session, Saini disclosed plans to open new cyber police stations in Gohana, Bahadurgarh, and Sonipat. This move aims to bolster Haryana's capabilities in confronting cyber offences, particularly affecting citizens aged 60 and above.

The state is also piloting a dual OTP system for bank transactions involving seniors to curb fraud. These initiatives, coupled with the deployment of banking nodal officers and the Zero FIR system, underscore Haryana's proactive stance against digital crime.
