A registrar from the Karnataka State Nursing Council has been arrested after allegations of sexual harassment were filed against him. The complaint was lodged by a female colleague at the Upparpet Police Station on March 26, as confirmed by the police.
The woman accused the registrar of continuous harassment at their workplace. Following her complaint, an FIR was registered, and a notice was served to the registrar. However, after his failure to respond, he was taken into custody on Tuesday and presented before the court, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Yathish N.
The investigation is being conducted under judicial supervision with further details expected to unfold as the probe advances.
