Occult Rituals and Dowry Demands: A Shocking Allegation

A woman has accused her husband and in-laws of forcing her into occult rituals, sexual abuse, and torture, demanding additional dowry post-marriage. The complaint led to a police case involving charges of cruelty, assault, and dowry demands. An investigation is underway.

In a disturbing case that has emerged recently, a 25-year-old woman has lodged serious allegations against her husband and in-laws, claiming she was coerced into participating in naked occult rituals and subjected to sexual harassment and physical abuse.

According to the FIR filed, the complainant, who wed jeweller Kautuk Mishra from Pandu Nagar in March 2024, was initially provided a significant dowry including an SUV and valuable gold and silver ornaments. Despite this, her in-laws reportedly demanded more, such as a house and additional gold.

Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal confirmed that a case has been registered under various legal provisions, including charges related to cruelty and the Dowry Prohibition Act. The police are currently investigating the matter, analyzing evidence including a video presented by the complainant.
