Heightened Drone Strikes Shake Kharkiv and Beyond
Russian forces launched a sustained series of drone strikes across Kharkiv in Ukraine, causing injuries and damage in its districts. Russian forces executed an extensive drone strike campaign on Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, on Thursday, leaving at least two individuals injured, as confirmed by local authorities. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov continuously updated residents via Telegram, documenting impacts in four city districts throughout the day.
Some strikes sparked fires, with an evening attack injuring an eight-year-old girl. Meanwhile, in the southern city of Zaporizhzhia, regional governor Ivan Fedorov reported a Russian strike on a high-rise apartment building and local business, fortunately causing no injuries.
Across the border in Russia's Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported 13 injuries resulting from a sequence of drone attacks. Notably, 11 of these casualties occurred in the border village of Shebekino.
