Zilla Parishad Employee Allegedly Molests Minor Over Scholarship Inquiry
A Palghar Zilla Parishad employee has been accused of molesting a minor girl under the guise of providing scholarship details. The girl lodged a complaint after the incident, leading to a case under POCSO and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. An investigation is underway, with internal actions promised against the accused if proven guilty.

An employee of the Palghar Zilla Parishad in Maharashtra faces serious allegations of molesting a minor girl. The incident reportedly occurred when the 17-year-old girl visited the office for scholarship information.
The official allegedly inappropriately touched the girl while discussing the scholarship details. The girl resisted and slapped the employee before heading to the police station to file a complaint, according to authorities.
Authorities filed charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Zilla Parishad CEO Manoj Ranade stated an internal probe would commence and assured action should any misconduct be confirmed.
