In a significant crackdown, Telangana's EAGLE Force, alongside Gachibowli Police, raided a pub in Kondapur, uncovering alleged narcotic use among seven individuals. The raid, part of an ongoing operation to tackle drug abuse in public spaces, came after intelligence pinpointed a special party featuring DJ Black Coffee as a potential hotspot.
Among those detained was the son of a senior IAS officer from Andhra Pradesh, along with software engineers and businessmen. The operation involved thorough preparation, including intelligence gathering on 64 suspected attendees. Despite the ongoing event, EAGLE teams conducted a surprise inspection, identifying and testing individuals on-site.
Results showed four tested positive for ganja and benzodiazepine, with further tests confirming ganja and methamphetamine use among seven detainees. Authorities are now delving deeper into their networks while ensuring those held receive de-addiction support. A case under the NDPS Act is filed, and investigations continue to curb this growing menace.
