In a decisive move, law enforcement officials arrested four individuals involved in a counterfeit currency operation in Khairighat. Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Srivastava confirmed that the arrests occurred between Friday night and Saturday, following a strategic tip-off.

Authorities seized fake currency amounting to Rs 11,500, including twenty-three Rs 500 notes, alongside a colour printer used in the operation. The individuals arrested have been identified as Gurucharan Singh alias Vijay, Saleem alias Suraj, Hariram Lodhi, and Arjun.

During interrogation, the accused admitted to their scheme of producing and circulating fake notes. A case has been registered against them under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and they have been remanded to custody while further investigations continue.
