Counter Terrorism Success: Two Militants Eliminated

In a significant breakthrough, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) successfully executed an operation that led to the death of two militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northwest Pakistan. The operation was strategically carried out late Tuesday in Peshawar, following precise intelligence inputs.

The CTD team established an ambush near the Northern Bypass, instigating an exchange of fire with the suspects. Authorities confirmed that the militants were implicated in the murder of a CTD constable and had the officer's mobile phone among their possessions.

One of the deceased militants was a high-profile target, wanted in at least 11 terrorism-related cases, including the killing of five police officers. A number of associates managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
