A newborn male baby was tragically found deceased and abandoned at the Kalwa civic hospital premises, local police reported on Wednesday.

The small body was discovered by a sanitation worker in the garden area behind the public restroom adjacent to the emergency ward on Tuesday morning, according to officials.

Authorities have initiated legal proceedings against unknown individuals, filing a case under section 94 of the BNS for the secretive burial or disposal of a deceased body aimed at concealing the birth.
