Key points of discussion included proposed amendments to the Delhi Fire Service Rules, 2010. The Lieutenant Governor stressed the importance of involving residents, businessmen, and traders in the amendment process to ensure a practical regulatory framework. Such regulations, as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, should facilitate 'ease of living' and 'ease of doing business' while ensuring robust fire safety measures.
With temperatures climbing, the L-G also examined the summer action plan, advocating for increased vigilance and a public awareness campaign on preventive strategies and safety regulations. This comprehensive approach aims to prepare citizens for emergencies without imposing unnecessary burdens.
