In a significant address at the swearing-in ceremony of the Rajasthan Secretariat Service Officers' Association, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma called for prioritizing public service delivery and enhancing administrative efficiency. He described the secretariat as the "nerve centre" of governance, stressing the importance of faster, more accountable decision-making to benefit citizens and enhance public trust.
Sharma administered the oath to the newly-elected president, Abhimanyu Sharma, and other executive members, urging them to commit to their duties with integrity. He emphasized the citizen-first approach and referred to the 'Mission Karmayogi' initiative, encouraging state employees to upgrade skills to improve governance quality.
The chief minister also discussed measures for employee welfare, such as raising the gratuity limit, introducing workplace support for women, and allowing flexibility in the state health scheme. He announced a high-level committee to examine pay scale issues and new posts for promotional opportunities, signaling significant policy changes for employee development.
