The opposition BJP in Jharkhand has demanded a CBI investigation after allegations surfaced regarding a paper leak in the state's excise recruitment examination. The party insists the involvement of a larger scam.
The demand follows the arrest of 159 candidates who were taking the Jharkhand Excise Constable Competitive Examination (JECCE) 2023 in Ranchi, linked to the alleged leak. BJP's chief whip, Naveen Jaiswal, asserted that the police administration's hasty actions might point to a significant scam.
In contrast, Congress spokesperson Sonal Shanti countered the BJP's demand, indicating that state authorities are competent in dealing with the situation and are committed to ensuring fair examinations. The government aims to thoroughly investigate the matter.
