Karnataka High Court Shuffles 111 Judicial Officers

The Karnataka High Court has transferred 111 district judges, including Santhosh Gajanan Bhat, to new roles. This reshuffle aims to improve public service and administration. Bhat will head the Karnataka Mediation Centre, and Shivaprasad K B will replace him to oversee cases involving MPs and MLAs.

The Karnataka High Court announced the transfer of 111 judicial officers on Thursday, marking a significant reshuffle among district judges. Included in this move is Additional District and Sessions Judge Santhosh Gajanan Bhat, who currently presides over cases involving former and sitting MPs and MLAs.

This decision, driven by the necessity for improved public service and administrative efficiency, was sanctioned through a notification by Registrar General K S Bharath Kumar. The changes are set to take effect from the forenoon of June 1.

Santosh Gajanan Bhat is slated for a new appointment as the District Judge, OOD, Director at the Karnataka Mediation Centre in Bengaluru. His position will be taken over by Shivaprasad K B, ensuring continuous oversight of cases related to elected officials in Karnataka.
