In a development resonating concerns over workplace safety, two individuals tied to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Nashik have been remanded in police custody until April 18. The charges include allegations of sexual harassment and forcible religious conversion.
The accused, Raza Rafiq Memon and Shafi Bikhan Sheikh, were produced in court on Thursday following their recent arrests. This action is part of a broader investigation involving nine registered cases, with a special team formed to probe the accusations made by eight women employees against senior colleagues.
TCS, asserting its zero-tolerance policy, announced the suspension of implicated employees, while its COO leads an internal investigation. Additionally, both the National Commission for Women and the local police are actively engaged in this unfolding saga, cautioning against the dissemination of victim identities.
