Delhi Police apprehended two notorious gang members in a dramatic shootout in Dwarka, southwest Delhi. The suspects, identified as Jatin Sharma, 27, and Pawan Bhandari, 26, allegedly linked to the Vicky Takkar gang, were wanted in connection with a recent stabbing incident.
The case involves an April 8 attack in which Mahender Singh was critically injured. Police say the duo demanded protection money from Singh, who later identified them as the attackers. The relentless pursuit led officers to set a trap on Friday near Dhulsiras Chowk.
Around 2.10 am, the duo was intercepted while riding a scooter. When asked to surrender, Sharma opened fire, but police swiftly retaliated, injuring him and securing an arrest. The operation concluded with the recovery of firearms and a stolen scooter.
