Factory Unrest: Workers' Struggles Under the Spotlight

Factory workers in Greater Noida have long been subjected to exploitation, according to senior Samajwadi Party leader Mata Prasad Pandey. Despite numerous complaints, Pandey claims no action has been taken by the administration or labor officials. The escalating situation led to serious unrest among the workers.

On Friday, a Samajwadi Party delegation aimed to meet protesting workers was halted by police at the DND Flyover. Heavy police presence was deployed to prevent engagement with the protestors. The workers' grievances primarily revolve around wage demands and alleged violations of labor rights.

Following violent clashes, arson, and vandalism, authorities have detained over 300 people, alleging that misinformation from social media, possibly from Pakistan, has fueled the unrest. False detentions and missing workers are reportedly compounding concerns as tensions remain high.
