Actor and former Trinamool Congress MP Nusrat Jahan faced questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) amid allegations of a housing project fraud. Reportedly, the project involved collecting money from buyers for flats that were never delivered.
Jahan, who was previously associated as a director with the firm under investigation, arrived at ED's Salt Lake office alongside her husband, Yash Dasgupta but refrained from addressing the media. The complaint, spearheaded by BJP leader Shankudeb Panda, claims that over 400 senior citizens were deceived between 2014 and 2015.
The central agency's probe into the matter continues as it seeks clarity on unanswered questions involving the apparent misappropriation of funds. Jahan has maintained her innocence, denying any connections as a director with the implicated company.
